Shipping to Japan: what to know

Japanese import declarations are processed through NACCS, and imports are subject to customs duty and consumption tax. Food, cosmetics, medical devices and electrical goods have their own regulatory requirements. Japan's Economic Partnership Agreement with the EU offers reduced duties for qualifying goods.
