Own air waybills
We issue air waybills directly in 17 markets, with no third parties between you and the airline.

Why your own air waybill matters
The air waybill (AWB) is the contract of carriage and the key data record for every air shipment. On many lanes, the forwarder you book with does not issue it. A consolidator or co-loader does, and that adds another company, another cut-off time and another place where data can go wrong.
Ziem Logistics issues its own air waybills without third parties. The data on the air waybill, the advance cargo information and the customs entry all come from one shipment file.
- Faster bookingsCapacity is booked directly. There is no waiting for a consolidator to confirm.
- Consistent dataAir waybill, advance security data and customs entry use the same information. This reduces holds and queries.
- Clear accountabilityOne company is responsible for the shipment from uplift to arrival.
- Pre-lodged customsDestination customs can be prepared while the cargo is still in the air.

What is an air waybill (AWB)?
The air waybill is the transport document and contract of carriage for an air shipment. It identifies the shipper, consignee, airline, route and goods, and its number is used to track the cargo.
What is the difference between a master and a house air waybill?
The master air waybill (MAWB) is issued on behalf of the airline for the whole consignment. The house air waybill (HAWB) is issued by a forwarder for each individual shipment within a consolidation.
Why does it matter who issues the air waybill?
The issuer controls the booking, the data and the cut-off times. When we issue the air waybill ourselves, there is no consolidator in between. That means faster bookings, consistent data and one responsible company.
